St Patrick’s Day Harm Reduction Booth

The AMS is organizing the St. Patrick’s Day Harm Reduction Event on March 16th. This event will take place in front of the ARC, at the entrance on Earl St., from 10 am to 2 pm, or as long as supplies last.

The AMS tent will be stocked with an array of goodies and essentials aimed at promoting safe partying. Students can help themselves to snacks, sports drinks, sexual health products, Night Cap scrunchies, and informational resources geared towards encouraging students to party safely. Additionally, the booth will be stocked with Yerba Mates, so students have an accessible option if they do not want to consume alcohol.

The AMS has collaborated with a local food truck to provide free meals to students during the event. Thanks to a negotiated limited buyout, the food truck will be dishing out complimentary meals for as long as supplies last, starting from approximately 11 am to 4 pm.

Additionally, on March 14th, the AMS will set up a booth offering a variety of AMS-dyed sweaters for purchase. The booth will also provide harm reduction materials such as cup covers/nightcaps and coupons for the FryWay food truck, redeemable for hotdogs and fries. Lanyards and student care band-aids will also be distributed, allowing students to be extra prepared for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The AMS encourages all students to take advantage of these resources and engage with the harm reduction initiatives in place to ensure a St. Patrick’s Day celebration that is both enjoyable and safe. For more information, students can visit the AMS website or stop by the booth on March 14th.
