Queen’s Vagabond produces two or more shows each academic year; one play will be classical in nature, and the other plays are chosen at the company’s discretion, be it from the classical period or a modern day work. Auditions are held for each production separately, and the actors and production team then work together culminating in the final performance. We also have an apprentice program, which allows first and second-year students a chance to gain experience and confidence to take on larger roles in future productions.

The mandate of Queen’s Vagabond Theatre is to provide the Queen’s and Kingston communities with productions of high level, semi-professional student theatre, embracing both classical and contemporary works. Queen’s Vagabond wants to provide practical experience and training for its members while exploring relevant and challenging texts that stimulate the thinking of actors and audience alike.
