RUSSA is a student-run organization on campus that unites, supports and promotes Russian language and culture within the Queen’s community. RUSSA aims to provide a welcoming environment in which Queen’s students can:

  1. Learn, discuss, and be introduced to Eastern European culture, history, and current events
  2. Celebrate and embrace Eastern European culture
  3. Develop friendships with others who share a common background
  4. Learn and practice their Russian speaking skills
  5. Share their experiences with students interested in pursuing studies (e.g. exchange programs) in Eastern Europe
  6. Extend their support network (specifically, we aim to help Russian-speaking students to become part of Canadian society)
