QCAC is an organization at Queen’s University dedicated to raising awareness, offering support, and promoting education on the topic of concussions. As an “invisible injury” concussions are often misrepresented and misunderstood, often thought to be of little significance, exclusively related to sports, and with no future repercussions. Concussions can inflict traumatic effects that potentially limit an individual in a variety of ways. Thus, as a club and a community as a whole, it’s vital to accurately portray concussions and their potential effects, fostering a positive and accepting environment.

Through education, support, provision of resources, and hosting events within the Queen’s community, QCAC is working to break the stigma surrounding concussions. We aim to provide students and community members with the education and tools they need to make healthy choices surrounding their academics, physical and mental health as it relates to concussions.
