The Canadian Improv Games is a loving competition between teams of high school students trained to perform spontaneous, improvised scenes within the framework of the CIG’s own 5 event competitive
format. Each team (composed of 5-8 students) plays 4 games, each game being a (maximum) 4 minutes long. There are over 3000 students from over 300 high schools across Canada participating in the
Canadian Improv Games. The events are:
There are two mandatory events: Life and Theme. Teams must choose to drop one of the other events before the competition! In the event of a tie, teams play their remaining (5th) game.
