KINGSTON, ON – Below are the results of the 2024 AMS Winter Referendum. Voter turnout was 19.7%.
AMS Sliding Scale for Reference:
- Voter turnout between 15-19.9% of AMS members requires 55% or higher to pass
- Voter turnout between 10-14.9% of AMS members requires 60% or higher to pass
- Voter turnout between 5-9.9% of AMS members requires 65% or higher to pass
- Voter turnout <5% of AMS members require 70% or higher to pass
Student Activity Fee – Triennial Review:
Do you agree to the continuation of the Sexual Health Resource Centre fee of $1.00 (mandatory fee) for the next three years? This fee was originally established in 2004 and last went to referendum in 2020.
- Yes: 2882 (83.9%)
- No: 553 (16.1%)
- Total Voters: 3928
- Abstain: 493 (12.6%)
Do you agree to the continuation of the Sexual Assault Centre Kingston fee of $1.00 (mandatory fee) for the next three years? This fee was originally established in 1990 and last went to referendum in 2020.
- Yes: 3012 (87.3%)
- No: 438 (12.7%)
