Kingston, ON – The AMS Elections team would like to thank all of those who participated and voted in the 2021 Winter Election season. As of 8:00pm February 10th, 2021, the polls for the AMS Executive Election and the Undergraduate Student Trustee election have concluded. The results are as follows:
The AMS Elections Team would like to congratulate Team RTZ for being elected as the 2021-2022 AMS Executive. The results were a vote of 66.2% (1979) and an 18.2% turnout. We wish them the best in their upcoming term.
The AMS Elections team would also like to congratulate Jaya Sharma for being elected to the position of Undergraduate Student Trustee for a two-year term (2021-2023). The results were a vote of 71% (1776). We wish Jaya the best in her upcoming term.
The AMS Secretary of Internal Affairs, Caroline Hart, has made the following statement: “The Elections Team and I would like to congratulate Jaya Sharma on her successful campaign. I look forward to seeing what she does in the future and am confident that she will be successful in their endeavors as their terms begin.”
The AMS Executive has also made the following statement: “Thank you to both team TIA & RTZ for running engaging and exciting campaigns this election period. We congratulate Team RTZ on their successful election results tonight. We are very excited to begin the transition process.”
