Queen’s Soul Food is a student-run organization that focuses on alleviating poverty and food insecurity through means such as delivering unconsumed food from all three Queen’s University campus cafeterias to Kingston shelters. Now in our eighth year, we also hold events to raise awareness about these issues around campus and the city. Becoming involved with Soul Food is a way to gain first-hand knowledge about the differences thoughtful food consumption can create.
Soul Food is a needs-based, student-driven organization that aims to support the local communities of its chapters. The organization strives to find creative solutions to, and promote awareness of local, national, and international problems of poverty and food security.
