Queen’s Hillel is the centre for Jewish life on campus. Queen’s Hillel acts as a resource for all Jewish students seeking a connection to their cultural identity and a Jewish community. Queen’s Hillel allows its member to relate to their Judaism on a social, cultural and religious level through a variety of programs. The club represents Jewish concerns on campus and internationally and works to ensure that there is a representative Jewish voice and community at Queen’s University. Queen’s Hillel strives for a pluralistic environment in which Jews, regardless of denomination or religious belief, feel comfortable and
The most unique attribute of Queen’s Hillel is that activities are planned for students, by students. We have a dedicated and creative executive that strives to bring a wide range of programming to all
students. Throughout the year, Queen’s Hillel offers great social events, highlighted by our annual Semi-Formal, Bar Mitzvah Bash, at the end of the school year. In addition, Hillel offers eight Shabbat dinners, actively engages in Holocaust Education, and supports both local and national charities though philanthropy campaigns. In addition, Queen’s Hillel strives to get members to communicate the events they want to see to our executive, allowing us to use our resources to bring you programs that are in line with your priorities and interests. However, it doesn’t stop there. Have a great idea of Holocaust Education? Ran a great Jewish program at your summer camp? We want you to bring the
idea to us, and assist us in planning a new range of events. Queen’s Hillel is open to anyone and is entirely non-denominational, meaning individuals from a variety of religious backgrounds are welcome at Hillel.
