Orientation Roundtable (ORT)

The Orientation Roundtable (ORT) is the central coordinating body for undergraduate Orientation Week at Queen’s. There are 9 separate newORTundergraduate Orientation Weeks run – one for each faculty/program (Arts & Science, Engineering, Commerce, Nursing, Con-Ed, Computing, and Phys. Ed & Kinesiology), plus FYNIRS (for first year students not living in residence) and NEWTS (for students who are new to Queen’s, but not in first year). ORT coordinates between all of these weeks, acting as the chief booking, financial, logistical, and approving body. The Orientation Roundtable is also the central advocating body for student-run Orientation at Queen’s.

The Orientation Roundtable is run by the ORT Coordinator and four ORT Directors:

ORT is a support for Orientation Committees, a strong voice for Orientation Week, and a body that ensures Orientation Week at Queen’s meets the high standards set by everyone involved.

If you’re interested in getting involved in Orientation in a whole new (and incredible) way, keep your eyes peeled for ORT applications, out in the fall!
